Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical energy to your automobile. It’s also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its main goal is to start the Ford engine.
Once the engine is operating, the alternator supplies power for the auto.
Generally, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to release a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They are not designed for deep discharge, and also the lifespan of the Ford battery can be reduced by a complete discharge.
